South Brunswick High School Robotics
Building a robot may sound like it may only be of interest for certain types of individuals with specific technical and programming abilities, however, experience leads us to believe that real success comes from students with a wide variety of talents and a broad base of interests working together toward achieving a particular goal.

Please note that tryouts are only open to high school students (rising 9th-12th graders)

The game manual test will require you to just review the link given below. No video will be created for it.

Design Challenge & Game Manual Day: August 10th, 2021 @ 1:30pm - 4pm (IN PERSON @ SBHS Room #: C102)

Programming Test: August 12th, 2021 @ 1pm - 3pm (VIRTUAL)

Regarding Prior Experience
While familiarity will help you, we are not assuming any prior experience. Our tryouts process will be starting off with workshops run by experienced club members to help you pick up the basics and understand what we do here before moving on to the "tryouts" portion. Per the rules and spirit of the VEX Robotics Competition, we expect you as a student to take initiative and assume responsibility, as well as to pass along information to your parents/guardians. Attention to detail, asking questions, and effective communication are universally useful practices that are important to us, and will serve you well in your career.
